What Is Required Of Me?
In order to be considered a Member in Good Standing and to enjoy the privileges of membership including holding office and sponsoring of prospective new members, the following is required:
Philanthropy
Philanthropy Hours Requirement ( April 1 - March 31)
Patroness Minimum Hours Ticktocker Minimum Hours
All Patronesses -- 10 Hours 7th Grade -- 10 Hours
8th Grade -- 10 Hours
9th Grade -- 15 Hours
10th Grade -- 15 Hours
11th Grade -- 15 Hours
12th Grade -- 10 Hours
League
League Hours Requirement (April 1 - March 31)
* A minimum of 10 league hours is required of all
Patronesses and Ticktockers during the
Chapter's Philanthropy / League year.
* All Patronesses must serve on at least one committee
during each Philanthropy / League year at either the
chapter or grade level.
Meeting Attendance Requirement (April 1 - March 31)
* Patronesses -- During each Philanthropy /League
year, active Patroness and Patroness-at-large
members shall:
-- Attend a minimum of five (5) Regular meetings of
members.
-- Attend all patroness meetings of applicable grade
level.
-- Attend the Mother / Daughter Tea.
-- Attend the Ticktocker Tribute / Senior Salute.
Ticktockers shall:
( During each Philanthropy / League year)
-- Attend all monthly meetings and required events,
which are listed below under Events Attendance
Requirement.
However, if a Ticktocker must miss a meeting or a
required event, she shall give notice, stating the reason,
either in writing or by telephone to her Grade Level
Advisor, prior to the meeting. The Patroness of said
Ticktocker shall reimburse any expense incurred by the
Chapter or a Patroness on behalf of a Ticktocker
due to lack of reasonable notification.
--Each Ticktocker shall attend 75% of each meeting or
event to fulfill the attendance requirement.
Event Attendance Requirement
* All Patronesses and Ticktockers are required to attend
the Mother/ Daughter Tea and Ticktocker Tribute /
Senior Salute.
* Provisional members (new Patroness and her
daughter) are required to attend the New Member
Orientation and the Mother / Daughter Tea.
* Patronesses and Ticktockers must be present for at
least 75% of the event to receive credit.
Financial
* Annual dues are payable May 1 and delinquent after
June 1.
There is a $20.00 penalty for Patroness and $5.00
penalty for Ticktocker assessed for delinquent payment
of dues.
* There is a one-time non-refundable entrance fee.
How We Communicate
The chapter communicates primarily through our web site.
On occasion the Philanthropy committee will communicate
directly with the general membership via email in a
Philanthropy Phlash.
GLADS and Ticktockers generally communicate via email,
although sometimes phone trees are utilized.
All member contact information is listed in the membership
roster updated and posted on in the Repository on our Chapter Web Site.
